Mr. Athanassopoulos succeeded our client’s acquittal, for non-payment of debt to Municipality of Kifissia amounting to more than 5 million euros. The three-member Athens Court of Appeal overturned the first instance conviction of 5 years imprisonment and accepted Mr. Athanassopoulos’ legal arguments that the prosecution must be seized due to improper preliminary procedure.
